I gave City Tailors what I thought was the impossible task of shortening by 3 inches an expensive set of outer waterproof trousers that were zipped the length of each leg. They nailed it! I have no idea how they managed to keep the zip intact, the integral waterproof overlap sound, and the fastenings at the foot reconstructed, whilst losing 3 inches. Magic.
