Without doubt — the most shockingly ineffective, disinterested and disrespectful claims company you could ever have the misfortune to have to deal with.

They have a total lack of empathy for the person claiming and no regard for the additional stress they add to an already upsetting situation by their lack of care,

Should your insurer use Sedgwick as a claims handler — I recommend you cancel you policy immediately or avoid the insurer totally,

If anyone from Sedgwick actually reads the se reviews — ‘hang you head in shame’ — you are a disgrace to the industry … – show

Advantages:
Sedgwick have been a pleasure to deal with on behalf of our insurers — eSure/Sheilas Wheels. They have helped remind me when things were required, they have made payments smoothly. Our first handler was excellent, then due to jobs taking longer than expected it was handed over to another handler who has also been excelllent — and one whom had been criticised elsewhere — I found them very communicative, helpful and professional.

Comment:
I suspect Claims Handlers get a lot of criticism for the guidlines and policies that they are forced to follow by the insurers on whose behalf they are acting. Whilst I'm sure there are times they could do better (they could make their web portal accessible to all office locations not just Glasgow) most criticism should probably be reserved for the insurer…so make sure you find a very good one.

eSure have been excellent to me over the years, from dealing with theft due to Burglary and a flooding incident.
